Bangladesh Computer Samity, popularly known as BCS, was formed three decades ago with a vision to become the guiding light of the Bangladesh ICT sector and safeguard the interest of all industry stakeholders. With its relentless and sincere service since its inception in 1987, BCS has established itself as the apex ICT business and trade industry association of organization of the country. After becoming the first registered ICT trade association of Bangladesh in 1992 with 15 member companies, BCS now has 2,630 ICT companies as its members. BCS has 10 branches— Barishal, Chattogram, Cumilla, Jashore, Khulna, Mymensing, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet & Tangail - across Bangladesh to spread awareness of ICT services and products among the rural people.

DCCI, the largest and most active Chamber of the country, established in 1958, was incorporated under the Companies Act, V11 of 1913 as a limited company on March 10, 1959. It serves as a model of a non-profit, service-oriented organization. It has rendered more than four decades of beneficial services for the development of business and industry in Bangladesh.
There are three categories of membership: General, Associate & Trade Group. The Chamber is run by a Board of Eighteen Directors representing all classes of membership. One-third of the Directors retire every year. The Board elects a President, a Senior Vice-President, and a Vice-President for a term of one year. The President is the Chief Executive of the Chamber. The Board of Directors is assisted by a number of Standing Committees on various important business-related subjects and by a full-fledged Secretariat.
