"PM INAUGURATED "BGMEA WORKER DATABASE"

Honorable Prime Minister of People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated modern technology oriented "BGMEA Worker Database" in a program that was held in a local

hotel on last Saturday 19 March, 2011. The program was crowded by several government ministers and officials, foreign diplomats, BGMEA president and office bearers, garment owners, more than 2000 garment workers and media personnel. Program was live telecast by Bangla Vision TV Chanel.

Aligned with "Digital Bangladesh" vision of current government, "BGMEA Worker Database" is aimed to automate the RMG industry and its 3 million workers using modern technology. This database stores and update data of all RMG factories and employee's personal & employment history and issues high-tech chip based ID card for each employee. This system will help to identify real RMG worker to facilitate them and to help in proper migration system to stop restlessness in the leading GDP contributor RMG industry of Bangladesh. This software stoned another big milestone to Digital Bangladesh.

Technology partner of this software is Systech Digital Limited, a BASIS & BCS member company that successfully serving worldwide for the last 10 years. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) is going under Automation System very soon. Systech Digital will develop this Automation System for the organization.

Recently an agreement has been signed between the organizations. Dr. Md. Zahedul Hauque Basunia, Registrar of BMDC and M Rashidul Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of Systech Digital signed on agreement paper for their own side. Assistant Register Dr. Md. Arman Hossain of BMDC and Senior Marketing Executive of Systech Digital Md. Shamim Hossain were also present in the agreement ceremony. In the ceremonial speech Dr. Md. Zahedul Haque Basunia said, "Through this Automation System, all the activities will be transparent and providing rapid service will be ensured." For this he thanked Systech Digital. Under this agreement Systech Digital will develop Students and Doctors Automation, Non Treading Account System, Fixed Asset Management System, Human Resource Management System including setting up necessary networking structure for BMDC.

Installation ceremony of newly elected Executive Council (2016-19) of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) was held at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) recently.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was present at that event as the chief guest. Md. Shahriar Alam, State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology attended the occasion as special guests.

This year BGMEA has been awarded the "Best Outstanding User Organization Award" by ASOCIO for using 'Biometric Identity and Worker Information Management System (Worker Database)'. "ASOCIO Digital Masters Summit 2018" held in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. David Wong, Chairman of ASOCIO and others handed over this honorary award to BGMEA.

BGMEA President Mr. Siddiqur Rahman, BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mr. Mohammad Nasir and on behalf of the Software Manufacture and Maintenance Company, CEO of Systech Digital Limited Mr. M Rashidul Hasan received the award on behalf of BGMEA as special guests of the ASOCIO award ceremony. The Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is consist of 24 economic countries in Asia and Oceania regions. ASOCIO offers this honorary recognition under four categories to the best companies and projects nominated from 24 countries every year.

It is to be noted here that in 2013, the 'Biometric Identity and Worker Information Management System (Worker Database)' software is implemented throughout the country with the initiative of BGMEA to ensure all the facilities to the owners and workers of the growing ready-made garment industry. It's a unique software system, which stores biometric fingerprints, pictures, jobs and all other information of all workers in the factory in the local and cloud server databases, which are used later on to identify and confirm with all other factory workers. This database provides all kinds of information related to Service Book, Insurance, UD, Cash Incentive and other purposes in one-click to the garment industry personnel. Currently, this software is using by more than 2300 factories of BGMEA for more than 3.5 million workers every day. Our local organization Tiger IT Bangladesh and Systech Digital Limited have technically assisted in developing, installing, training and maintaining this unique software system.

The Hon'ble Minister of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Imran Ahmad, M.P. has officially launched the Cloud-Based Automation System "Recruiting Agencies Information Management System (RAIMS)". Systech Digital Limited develops this system. It was inaugurated today, March 27, 2021 at an event held at a hotel in the capital. Dr. Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, secretary of the Ministry was present there as a special guest.

Among others present on the event were Suzan Mailer, Head of Cooperation, SDC, Maurizio Sian, EU Representative in Bangladesh, Tumo Pausenin, Country Director, ILO Dhaka, and Mr. Md. Mohammad Ali, Director General, BMET. Shamsul Alam, officials of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and representatives of BMET and other related organizations.

Among others present on the event were Suzan Mailer, Head of Cooperation, SDC, Maurizio Sian, EU Representative in Bangladesh, Tumo Pausenin, Country Director, ILO Dhaka, and Mr. Md. Inaugurating the RAIMS, the Hon'ble Minister said that by using this system, individuals and recruiting agencies who want to go abroad would get accurate information and protect themselves from fraud brokers. He placed special emphasis on the use of this system.

Note that, RAIMS is a cloud-based automation system that provides the necessary information of more than 1,600 expatriate recruitment agencies in Bangladesh and their all kind of previous performance record of sending workers abroad. This information management software provides instant updated data that allows BMET, the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, employers and migrant workers to make their right decisions. The main benefits of using this system are - updated information of employers, licensing information of organizations, information of authorized representatives, information of foreign representatives, information of branches, information of sending workers, information of training centers, performance appraisal and record of complains and arrangement of agencies and automated notification system.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) implemented it.

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has been awarded the ‘WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards’ in Sustainable Growth/Circular Economy Award category by WITSA for using ‘Biometric Identity and Worker Information Management System’ in 25th WCIT (World Congress on Information Technology), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mr. Md. Shahid-Ul-Munir, Vice Chairman, WITSA Asia Pacific handed over this prestigious award to BGMEA. Among other WITSA Chairman Mr. Yannis Sirros and Secretary-General Dr. Jim H Poisant were connected virtually.

The software service department of Systech Digital Limited, a renowned software solution provider of Bangladesh has been appraised at CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 3, V2.0 for improved management and service delivery processes it develops, manages, and delivers services.
